SOME ‘TIPS’ WHEN LEARNING TO DRAW PART 1
Relax, take a few deep breaths and give your hands a good shake.
Choose HB or B pencils, using 2B for light and shade and 5B for
intensity.
Find your best angle for drawing a straight line and practice
drawing straight lines repeatedly. Spontaneity matters.
Train your eyes and hand to observe and draw basic structures of
objects, regardless of their complexity.
Draw realistically. This will give you a good foundation to create
using your imagination. Leave the literal translation of subjects
to beginner students.
