Exploring Central Victoria and the Golden Triangle. 

Our base is Bendigo in comfortable 3-4* single supp accommodation within walking distance of the Regional Gallery and city centre.  With our private driver/coach we’ll explore a variety of fascinating and historical destinations and return to our Bendigo base each evening.   


You will receive a full refund if this tour is unable to proceed due to an uncertain Covid-19 future with possible state border closures.

Tour begins approx noon in Melbourne  

Our private coach/driver will collect you for transfer to Bendigo  

Lunch and afternoon exploration of Kyneton

Private coach/driver for a day of exploration around Mt. Macedon.  

Walk and soundscape at beautiful Sanitorium Lake 

Lunch Hanging Rock Cafe 

Afternoon exploration around Hanging Rock

If weather is inclement, visit an historic home with private gallery

Fri / 8 April

Leisure day to explore as you wish;  

alternatively a day tour with local guide Bronwyn Wilson:  A Journey of Discovery in Melbourne

Discover Melbourne’s cultural heritage as we walk the city’s fascinating labyrinth of vibrant arcades and laneways visiting landmark iconic heritage buildings from the 1880s Marvellous Melbourne period.  We take time to explore some hidden spaces featuring galleries, speciality retailers and designers and trendy cafes as we hear stories of significant characters who contributed to development of the city. A stroll along the Yarra River will take in historical and contemporary aspects of the city to finish the day.

This relaxed walking tour will include occasional tram travel and refreshment stops (at own expense).

Return to our Bendigo Accom


Sat / 9 April

Private coach/driver to Castlemaine for brunch and morning exploration  

Depart noon to Dayelsford (30 min drive) 

Lunch at Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens Cafe  

Afternoon exploration including the Convent Gallery  

Or explore the delightful, gay town of Dayelsford with every colour of the rainbow!

Return to our Bendigo accom.
