Jody Graham

Jody Graham is a Sydney-based artist whose work encompasses drawing, mixed media, sculpture and installation.

Her work celebrates the broken, displaced and forgotten which speaks of her long nurtured compulsion to restore and rescue.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Jody Graham hyenaDiscover material, techniques and inspiration from the natural environment to create unique and expressive artworks.

The workshop will commence with making drawing tools from natural objects and then use these implements for expressive drawings on paper. These tools will generate authentic, interesting and expressive marks.

You will have drawing tool keepsakes and the artwork created from them to take home and reflect and build on the experience.

 

Materials required for this workshop:

  • soluble black ink + container to hold the ink
  • soluble sepia ink + container to hold the ink
  • cartridge paper A3 or A2 (approx 10 sheets)
  • backing board for paper + bulldog clip or masking tape
  • optional: easel or table easel; or work on table surface provided
  • please bring your own lunch (morning and afternoon tea provided)

Materials for creating your drawing tools are included in the cost of the workshop
