Life Drawing One Day Workshop

OVERVIEW
School: WEA (Workers Education Association)

You will be able to draw anything if you master the human figure. This is an entertaining and practical course suitable for the beginner and intermediate artist (advanced artists are welcome).

Time: Saturday 10.00am – 4.00pm

CURRICULUM

  • Life Model with short and long poses throughout the day.
  • We will work with a variety of techniques such as tonal drawing; from black to white; drawing with line like Matisse, left handed drawing, gesture drawing,
  • We will spend time studying proportions for the face as well as the body.


PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  • Discover a variety of techniques for drawing a figure.

WHAT TO BRING

  • 2B pencil
  • Firm rubber and Faber Castell Kneadable Rubber
  • Willow charcoal
  • A3 (or larger) drawing book
  • Optional: water-soluble ink and cheap brush(es)

If you have other drawing material and surfaces, you are welcome to bring them.
