Drawing in the Glass Tower, Green Square Library

OVERVIEW

Please join me in the ‘Anything Room’, Level 5 Glass Tower, Green Square Library. This library and the surrounding precinct are one of Sydney’s most interesting new spaces,  with sweeping views of Sydney.

 
Learn basic drawing skills (line – tone – perspective – measurement and more).  More advanced artists are welcome to hone their skill and maybe learn new techniques.  Work at your own pace and level of interest.
 
Classes throughout the year include:
  • exercises in line, tone, form, perspective and measuring 
  • studies of influential artists and their techniques
  • still life subjects
  • elements of portrait drawing 
  • how to use a variety of drawing and painting materials/surfaces
  • some colour theory

MATERIALS LIST for absolute beginners
  • 2b pencil
  • rubber
  • A3 or A4 drawing pad
 
MATERIALS LIST for artists with more experience
  • any medium/surface you prefer (not oils)
