OVERVIEW

Step off the mainland and join me for a weekend of cultural pursuits, including MONA – Australia’s newest and most ambitious museum experience. Visit the newly renovated and state of art TMag and an evening concert with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Spend Sunday around Battery Point, Mt.Wellington and the Botanic Gardens, creating artworks and memories before the evening flight to Sydney.

*David Walsh has created Australia’s newest museum experience. Designed by Melbourne architect Nonda Katsalidis, MONA is part of the Moorilla Winery Estate on a private peninsula of the Derwent River. The 3 story underground structure is carved out of a sandstone cliff and houses artefacts both contemporary and from antiquity.

Sunday 26th May
  • 7.00-9.00am continental breakfast at Henry Jones
  • 10.00am checkout accommodation and free time
  • 12.00-4.00pm private coach tour via Battery Point, Botanic Gardens, Mount Wellington and final destination the airport. Includes picnic lunch and en plein air drawing on location
  • 5.00pm depart Hobart – arrive Sydney 6.50pm.
